Excuse me, but are we in Denmark or Canada? ***EXCLUSIVE VIDS INCLUDED***

HELLO PEOPLE!

First of all, I would like to say thank you to those who have been commenting. We are literally obsessed with all the comments and if you leave a message we will definitely reply to you (Unless we hate you or your comment is dumb!)!!!

Second of all, we have been getting good feedback on the blog! Don't mean to brag but is this possibly the best travel blog on the internet? Are their prizes that you can win for that sort of thing? Maybe as our fans you can nominate us for something?

Okay, should we start with Thursday?

- invited Jens and Jill over
- the original plan was to make Jell-O shots for Jens since he's never had those but lol Denmark doesn't even sell jello, so much for that
- once again,  pushing the flip cup agenda! We taught Jens, go us!
- uh oh, 10 games of flip cup, are we drunk?
- lol no
- started at a bar called "under the mask" which has fish tanks inside and this eel that's forced into a tiny aquarium. He made me think of my fish Enrique #ripenrique
- then we went to other places blahblah
- at one point Emily tried to steal some hygge from a bar in the form of a wine bottle candle holder
- lol ya kk u crazy girl. Somehow that didn't make it home with us though #riphyggewinebottle
- Emily negotiated for several White Russians at one point
- can you all guess where we ended the night? It's bad guys! We can't (we won't?) stop and we are on our way to be the only fat people in Denmark. Literally everyone is skinny and perfect, this is a NIGHTMARE! (Btw it was McDonalds)
- okay maybe dramatic but w/e
- maybe we slept through our classes on Friday

Last night though was the big night aka rosensgades residence party. All the rooms were meant to create a theme and then everyone goes to each room, partakes in the theme and drinks and then moves onto another room! And we LOVED it!

A Crosby jersey! (People actually hated this since Denmark only likes curling). Also we made some beautiful art! What do you guys think? Which one do you like better? We don't want to start any roommate drama or anything but I would say we can appreciate a little competition!

Doesn't this feel exactly like canada?

Hygge! We are addicted to hygge!

Are we the cutest Canadians or what?

Our game was flips up(hello, we are obsessed). We were told by Jens that nobody knows how to play flip up or has ever heard of it, but people have? Jens do you even know anything about Danish people!!! We couldn't find any Canadian beer so we told everyone that Canadians just mostly drink Mexican beer!! #coronaorcanada

Our lil penguin and igloo sculpture! LOVE IT, special mention to RACHEL BIRNBERG who I think would especially love these lil guys

- we played the national anthem which people really liked
- we also played Canadian artist like beibs but it turns out Danish people are really against justin!! Awkward
- flip cup
- okay on to the next room, I think we had the disadvantage of people not being that drunk yet
- have I mentioned that there was only 6 of us?

Okay in to the next room! Our new friend Pernille! Her theme was a children's birthday party.

"Happy Birthday" in Danish!

- the game was to decorate your own cake. I won!(obviously) my cake was decorated with a moody, alcoholic ghost in the spirit of festilal (their Halloween)
- the drink was red soda(delicious) mixed with jäger(loved it)
- in Denmark children's songs include singing about the flag and pretending to play 2 insturments that the birthday girl/boy decides on before the song starts
- cultural note: have we mentioned how obsessed Danes are with their flag? They decorate their Christmas trees with it, it's at their birthday parties and they are literally everywhere #cool
- yay! We love Pernille and her theme. I think she may be the Danish Cathryn. Similarities include us both being sassy, loving to harass Emily and also saying "are you ok? Are you going to cry?" #pernillle #pernilleforever

Marie and Pernille! (Um I think we obsessed with them as well)

A somewhat offensive and racist cups about aboriginals that are sold at the Danish dollar store!

- Marie also had the same theme as Pernille
- whatever, we love it all!
- her game was eating a really long shoestring candy thing as fast as you can with no hands. Pernille won, are we even surprised though? We love Pernille
- we also played this game were you stomp on balloons. Loved it! Silly Danes
- drank red soda and vodka
- mmmm
- okay now on to Mathias and Phillip
- movie themed, they had popcorn and posters everywhere and rum and coke in coke cups! Um hello, is this not the best theme party you guys have ever heard of?

Marie and Phllip!

Wow, spreading bless around Denmark! It's taking off everybody! Ps: that's Mathias and he's also quite sassy!

Also love the OK sign

Learning how to say 20 in Danish! Very sober here!

SOS! Danish people are really forceful with making you drink! Apparently it's quite Danish to link arms like this and chug a beer. Um ya Ok you crazy Danes!!! Ps: this was the 2nd beer they made me chug #help

Did I mention that the boys game was to balance brooms? This is when the party really heated up!! #competition

Are we cultural pioneers? Um YES, YES WE ARE. this is negative bless aka when something bad happens

- kk so we drank rum, beer, vodka and jäger
- lol ya
- after all our parties we decided to go tot he bar
- Danish people are the definition of can't stop won't stop
-  more beer chugging
- Emily went home at 330 lol pussy no jkjk
- Cathryn got home at 5am
- it's just so hard to say NO
- we've also started pronouncing our words funny and saying things in the wrong order. So we may come home speaking like english is our second language
- YOLO
- also invited all our new freinds to our Jewish dinner so I think I'm now cooking for 8?? I'm not going to lie I'm a bit stressed about it. Do you guys think I over reaching? Comment what you think!! (But only comment good things nothing like "it's pretty unlikely that you can cook food for that many people when you don't have any experience" ok!!)

In other news:

Danish people are serious about recycling, it's actually a bit scary

Wemt for lunch today to this amazing bagel place and we are literally addicted. They combine really strange things like cream cheese and mustard and chicken and bacon but it's perfect. I mean, this place is literally everything #bagelsforever

Finally, we are going to Barcelona this Friday and we are EXCITED! Caliente! Have any of you ever been? Maybe you can guys can comment anything you think we should do?

we miss you all so much! Especially after our little canada party, we are feeling a bit nostalgic.

!!Copenhagen!!

Have you guys missed us? It has been a couple days. Do t worry we are BACK!!
Since the last post Cathryn has figured out how to relog into the computer account and this means we have some statistics and facts about you guys!! Wow, intrigue! Scandal!

ummmm 324 views! WOW!! Would you say that means we have gone viral. Isn't this pretty similar to how justin Beiber got started? He's probably one of the only people that can relate to our situation of quickly rising fame, but we I think that we will somehow be able to deal with it *sigh* We have a couple views from Germany and one from Norway even though we dont really understand how people there would have found the blog? Whatever tbh we are ready for the fame (and fortune??). May we will let you all be extras in the movie version of our blog!! lol you're all welcome

OKAY but to the real stuff, we went to copenhagen this Tuesday/Wednesday because we are world travellers and we live our own lives xo but we also just don't have class then so it worked out.

Our jouney starts at 5am to walk to the bus. Yay, waking up early won't deter us!!

Wow, the cutest girls have arrived!! City hall in Copenhagen! History, architecture we love it all!

New haven(this is were all the prostatutes used to chill back in the 1800s btw so Emily did feel in her element!) the pretty, classic pic of Denmark!!

The hostel! It looks nice but the room were we slept was gross!

The Lego store (unfortunately Lego land doesn't open until the summer)

Angels #bless

Tivoli gardens. It's an amusement park literally in the middle of the city, but unfortunately ALSO closed

Another hostel pic of us in our bunk beds. We look happy, but we actually hated sleeping there!!

The Carlsberg beer museum, we got 2 free beers #alcoho

Christiania! This is a hippie village, considered a separate state within Copenhagen. In the 70s hippies moved into this old military barracks and took over it. Today, they do a lot of drugs and sell weed in the open and make strange and crazy art. The only rules are no pictures (duh we can't have incriminating pictures of drugs deals) and no running (duh running will cause a panic among a community of crazy Danish drug lords). Tbh the concept of it is somewhat ludicrous and I don't really know how it functions   But we still loved it anyway!!

Other things about our trip:
- Danish people are really good and giving people
- cobblestones
- everyone bikes because there is a 200% tax on cars ya lol kk
- their queen is really cool/chill! She studied at arrhus (where we are) and helped translate lord of the rings into Danish
- tbh I don't think we are ever going to understand maps
- 2 for 1 beers in the hostel!
- the hostel was right downtown
- the hostel was actually really nice and pretty cool, but sleeping in a room with 10 people was really annoying (I think there 2 crazy Spanish lesbians in our room that had been doing some questionable things, but Emily disagrees) and it smelt like a combination of fresh paint and b.o.
- whatever YOLO amiriteoramirite???!
- met some guys from UBC who were doing their MBAs
- lol kk ya MBAs don't impress us, buying us the most expensive drinks at bar maybe (they didn't do this) but like we would settle for some mcdonalds after a night of drinking (they didn't even offer!!)
- we went to Christiania and witness stalls selling weed out in the open
- did we buy the weed? No! The weed is a dangerous and bad drug!
- wemt to the Carlsberg museum
- loved it
- j.c. Jamison is a Danish guy that created the formula for safe and hygienic beer and gave itaway for free. What a Good guy right???
- Copenhagen is cool
- lots of walking blahblahblah history blahblah
- finally we left and we were so tired
- SOS help us! We were falling asleep at 5pm
- but when we got home, who had good ready for us? Louise , our amazing Danish neighbour who we are minorally obsessed with! Guys she's the ultimate woman (next to beyonce)

A great pic of us going crazy with exhaustion in the ride back!

An extra special and exclusive pic of Emily. You're welcome guys!

The trip was good but we are happy to be here in Aarhus!!!! Tonight we are going to push the flip up agenda again (people are pretty excited about that) and we will probably spend most of this weekend drunk!!! Lol ew no sorry

But we actually do have so many plans #populargirls #danishgirls #popularanddanish?

Louise

WOW WOW WOW
Guys.....

We had cake and tea with our neighbour Louise and you could say we are maybe obsessed with how cool/nice/amazing she is!! (Sorry Jens, I think Louise is our new favourite Dane)

She made us HOMEMADE Danishes that are literally amazing. I feel like the best way to describe them would be to picture the best food you have ever eaten and then multiply by like 40????

(Can everyone plz note she gave us some to take home!!!!! WE LOVE HER)

You could also say that Louise is minorally obsessed with us back.....? Ugh ok maybe not but she has never met a Jew before so Cathryn is a new and exciting addition to the building. I'm going to make her matza ball soup and latkas and chula bread!!!!!!!!!!!

Louise is actually going to blog about my Jewish food in her food blog so it has to be good!! #stressed #judiasm

In other news I think the hygge in our apartment is improving..

Cute candle...

Omg romantic dinner for two!! Do you guys like our table? It's actually a cutting board that pulls out and we have just decided we will use it as a dinner table bc we are crafty and cool and have no where else to eat but the floor! xo

Ski party
- no body was actually dressed for the theme
- $1 beer ya lol okay
- there was dancing
- there was a balcony
- someone broke a chair at one point
- Cathryn made sidsel do a shot and she forced cathryn to wear her prescription glasses????
- Cathryn hated that
- mcdonalds (guys do you think we have a problem?? It's just so hard to say NO :(:(:( ugh SOS)

A pic of where the ski themed party was!! Cool cool huh???

Somebody help me

Emily getting a Danish hairdo

#canada

We have been here for 2 weeks!! How much do you guys miss us? We will accept comments with a scale of 1-100 but don't bother commenting with anything less than 85 or that's just mean and rude!!

Have we mentioned we are obsessed with Louise?

Love u ALL!! Mwahmwahmwah

Viva la Danske!

BABE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (How me and Emily address each other now FYI, it's a actually a think we picked up from our British friends #ujelly?) Wow wow wow we have been busy partaking in the Danish culture. we are confused and excited about it! I would say mostly confused but tbh we love and are obsessed with it all!

We will start with Thursday.
Jens (special mention to JENS. #jensjensjens) invites his mentees (us & Jill) over for a Spanish horror movie, nachos and wine!! A classic combo obviously!

Jens gets a special mention because he helps us a lot with understanding Danish things and has really embraced #bless

#jensjensjens

- Spanish horror movie was scary
- not as scary as you would think though
- we made our Danish debut on the piano, and you could say it was success
- the apartment was so nice and had major hygge
- we brought wine and then took back the leftovers because we assumed boys don't like white wine and wouldn't want it but Emily is really regretting this? What do you guys think? Maybe comment your thoughts and/or responses?
- a Classic Danish night maybe!

FRIDAY!! (Aka valentines day)

Special shoutout to Gray Norman who got emily flowers and surprised her!!
#graynorman

We went to class on Friday and cathryn made a presentation (dont worry guys it went well!) and Emily got breakfast by herself lol #lonerloser
No joking she's cool and hip!

THEN we got Starbucks and went shopping with Becky and Vicky!!! Love it
Tbh we don't think anyone is ever going to spell our names correctly

And THEN we got invited last minute to a costume party because the Danish version of Halloween is approaching! (And we can't say no to any invitation)

Things to know about Danish Halloween:
- kids dress up and trick or treat
- instead of candy they want MONEY
- they bring tins around and ask for coins and stuff. Sneaky Danes!

We decided to dress as cats which some may is lame but tbh those people are our haters. W/e we love our haters, they build us up and make us better so THANK YOU HATERS!
No but tbh we had no time or supplies or really any money to buy supplies so like what are a couple of the cutest girls to do??

CATZ!

- we started by making cute and realistic ears (#ripears #wheredidtheygo?)
- jäger
- debated for a while how you say the name "Jonas" in Danish because that's the guy that invited us to the party
- finally left
- trusted google maps to get us there
- honestly google maps is the worst! You don't help at all google maps!
- w/e at this point you could say we are natives so not a problem
- we arrived #cats
- meet a pirate and some monks!
- wow! $2 jäger bombs! OK SURE
- lol uh oh someone is a bit drunk now (Emily)
- FYI Jonas in Danish is pronounced "yonus"
- Cathryn's asked Jonas if she could call him "yoyo" and he said no.... K Jonus we just want to have some fun!
- someone came dressed as VOLDEMORT. Honestly the best costume we have ever seen in our life, he had painted his whole head white and was wearing black robes and stuff. Good for voldemort!
- dancing starts
- people in Denmark genuinely love to dance and enjoy music. There is no dirty gross dancing or slutty costumes! People just want to partake in the spirit of Danish Halloween. We love it!!
- the party play list was new and different. Hits included: the Macarena, spice girls, YMCA, a lot of songs on guitar hero, 99 red balloons. I would say the djs playlist was comparable to a bad grade 7 dance
- we don't care though
- new pre playlist
- made a friend name sidsel (you pronounce it seesal) and we invited her to the party tonight!!!

The cats are off! I think we were only minimally judged by people who saw us

A lil shot a lil pre

Cats

A lil bathroom pep talk

Cultural note: there used to be a tradition in Denmark where people would put a live cat in a barrel and then take turns swinging a bat at it until it broke. When it eventually did break they would chase and the cat and then kill it. No one could explain WHY they did this though???? I don't think they do this anymore though...

They had a barrel at the party that you could swing a bat at but this one was just filled with candy (unfortunately?). So Danish! It's just the Danish way

Cultural note #2: when the song "born to to be wild" comes on EVERY person sits down in lines and pretends to ride motorcycles.... It is SO weird. It's a thing that they do everywhere apparently. They also do it for the entire song, another thing nobody could explain to us, so yeah. I just wish we could actually explain how strange it was to see 80 people immediately sit down. Anyways, maybe you guys can start it in Canada,

Special mention to ALISON PIASETZKI who inspired this pic. Pia maybe you should bring this costume back??????????

Obviously had to stop for a quick burger on the way home and we thought we would share the menu with you
"Big tasty"
"Mcfeast"

What do you guys think FESTIVE beef and chicken means?

Editors note: it's festive because their Halloween is called "festival", but the concept of marketing beef and chicken and festive is still ridiculous

The night ends with us really embracing viva la Danske which is not a thing currently but I think it will be soon (if things go well obviously) so we will keep you updated!

Finally just in other news:

"Mm see you in your burger" lol kk you crazy Danes

Cathryn bought a cupcake which was unsatisfying and not even that good

In our attempt to be hipster/cool/Danish we have made his jäger candle

ALRIGHT I think that's all for now. Tonight we have a ski themed party and tomorrow we have cake and tea with our really cute and lovely neighbour, Louise!

Xoxo FARVELFOLLOWERS

Ps: this country roads remix was a highlight and a special moment of the night. We actually thought it was Danish but dj excellence is from mtl loll lol OKOK
