First of all, I would like to say thank you to those who have been commenting. We are literally obsessed with all the comments and if you leave a message we will definitely reply to you (Unless we hate you or your comment is dumb!)!!!
Second of all, we have been getting good feedback on the blog! Don't mean to brag but is this possibly the best travel blog on the internet? Are their prizes that you can win for that sort of thing? Maybe as our fans you can nominate us for something?
Okay, should we start with Thursday?
- invited Jens and Jill over
- the original plan was to make Jell-O shots for Jens since he's never had those but lol Denmark doesn't even sell jello, so much for that
- once again, pushing the flip cup agenda! We taught Jens, go us!
- uh oh, 10 games of flip cup, are we drunk?
- lol no
- started at a bar called "under the mask" which has fish tanks inside and this eel that's forced into a tiny aquarium. He made me think of my fish Enrique #ripenrique
- then we went to other places blahblah
- at one point Emily tried to steal some hygge from a bar in the form of a wine bottle candle holder
- lol ya kk u crazy girl. Somehow that didn't make it home with us though #riphyggewinebottle
- Emily negotiated for several White Russians at one point
- can you all guess where we ended the night? It's bad guys! We can't (we won't?) stop and we are on our way to be the only fat people in Denmark. Literally everyone is skinny and perfect, this is a NIGHTMARE! (Btw it was McDonalds)
- okay maybe dramatic but w/e
- maybe we slept through our classes on Friday
Last night though was the big night aka rosensgades residence party. All the rooms were meant to create a theme and then everyone goes to each room, partakes in the theme and drinks and then moves onto another room! And we LOVED it!
A Crosby jersey! (People actually hated this since Denmark only likes curling). Also we made some beautiful art! What do you guys think? Which one do you like better? We don't want to start any roommate drama or anything but I would say we can appreciate a little competition!
Doesn't this feel exactly like canada?
Hygge! We are addicted to hygge!
Are we the cutest Canadians or what?
Our game was flips up(hello, we are obsessed). We were told by Jens that nobody knows how to play flip up or has ever heard of it, but people have? Jens do you even know anything about Danish people!!! We couldn't find any Canadian beer so we told everyone that Canadians just mostly drink Mexican beer!! #coronaorcanada
Our lil penguin and igloo sculpture! LOVE IT, special mention to RACHEL BIRNBERG who I think would especially love these lil guys
- we played the national anthem which people really liked
- we also played Canadian artist like beibs but it turns out Danish people are really against justin!! Awkward
- flip cup
- okay on to the next room, I think we had the disadvantage of people not being that drunk yet
- have I mentioned that there was only 6 of us?
Okay in to the next room! Our new friend Pernille! Her theme was a children's birthday party.
"Happy Birthday" in Danish!
- the game was to decorate your own cake. I won!(obviously) my cake was decorated with a moody, alcoholic ghost in the spirit of festilal (their Halloween)
- the drink was red soda(delicious) mixed with jäger(loved it)
- in Denmark children's songs include singing about the flag and pretending to play 2 insturments that the birthday girl/boy decides on before the song starts
- cultural note: have we mentioned how obsessed Danes are with their flag? They decorate their Christmas trees with it, it's at their birthday parties and they are literally everywhere #cool
- yay! We love Pernille and her theme. I think she may be the Danish Cathryn. Similarities include us both being sassy, loving to harass Emily and also saying "are you ok? Are you going to cry?" #pernillle #pernilleforever
Marie and Pernille! (Um I think we obsessed with them as well)
A somewhat offensive and racist cups about aboriginals that are sold at the Danish dollar store!
- Marie also had the same theme as Pernille
- whatever, we love it all!
- her game was eating a really long shoestring candy thing as fast as you can with no hands. Pernille won, are we even surprised though? We love Pernille
- we also played this game were you stomp on balloons. Loved it! Silly Danes
- drank red soda and vodka
- mmmm
- okay now on to Mathias and Phillip
- movie themed, they had popcorn and posters everywhere and rum and coke in coke cups! Um hello, is this not the best theme party you guys have ever heard of?
Marie and Phllip!
Wow, spreading bless around Denmark! It's taking off everybody! Ps: that's Mathias and he's also quite sassy!
Also love the OK sign
Learning how to say 20 in Danish! Very sober here!
SOS! Danish people are really forceful with making you drink! Apparently it's quite Danish to link arms like this and chug a beer. Um ya Ok you crazy Danes!!! Ps: this was the 2nd beer they made me chug #help
Did I mention that the boys game was to balance brooms? This is when the party really heated up!! #competition
Are we cultural pioneers? Um YES, YES WE ARE. this is negative bless aka when something bad happens
- kk so we drank rum, beer, vodka and jäger
- lol ya
- after all our parties we decided to go tot he bar
- Danish people are the definition of can't stop won't stop
- more beer chugging
- Emily went home at 330 lol pussy no jkjk
- Cathryn got home at 5am
- it's just so hard to say NO
- we've also started pronouncing our words funny and saying things in the wrong order. So we may come home speaking like english is our second language
- YOLO
- also invited all our new freinds to our Jewish dinner so I think I'm now cooking for 8?? I'm not going to lie I'm a bit stressed about it. Do you guys think I over reaching? Comment what you think!! (But only comment good things nothing like "it's pretty unlikely that you can cook food for that many people when you don't have any experience" ok!!)
Danish people are serious about recycling, it's actually a bit scary
Wemt for lunch today to this amazing bagel place and we are literally addicted. They combine really strange things like cream cheese and mustard and chicken and bacon but it's perfect. I mean, this place is literally everything #bagelsforever
Finally, we are going to Barcelona this Friday and we are EXCITED! Caliente! Have any of you ever been? Maybe you can guys can comment anything you think we should do?
we miss you all so much! Especially after our little canada party, we are feeling a bit nostalgic.
FARVELFOLLOWERS xo mwah

Hey Cathryn and Emily. I think your Jewish cooking will be a huge success. Are you okay? You haven't posted in a few days. Worried about you guys. Hope the Danes haven't murdered you for putting a piece of newspaper in the bin where bottles are supposed to go. Stay strong.
ReplyDeleteLove Emma
Emma!! Thank you so much for the comment and your concern! No need to be worried - the Danes haven't killed us (yet???) we are actually just in Spain for a couple days (caliente!). Thanks for the encouraging words, tbh its a constant concern to cross a Danish person when it comes to recycling so we will hav pie to keep you updated on that. Also thanks for the Jewish support!!!!!
