We have been away because we have been is ESPAÑOL!!! Soaking up Spanish culture and food and alcohol and whatnot! And we are OBSESSED! We won't went to Barcelona (pronounced "Barthelona" if you want to be authentic) and apparently it's the best place in Spain and that's all we want!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Friday:
1:30am
- we meander down to the track station
- we decided to opt to take an all night train instead of paying for a hostel in Copenhagen for the night because we are frugal bitches
- We met up with Jill (do y guys remember Jill? She's one if her new friends and we love her and she went to barcelona with us!)
- Jill almost died waiting to meet us though when a scary Danish man followed her around the danish. Train station and told her he was "ready to take things further"
- luckily she didn't die #bless
- got on the train! Yay 2am and we don't even care!
Tbh hated the train. They kept on the neon lights all night and a sketchy man forced Cathryn out of her chair. For a little bit we were gueninly nervous he would do something extreme like stab us or something but things worked out ok (I mean we aren't dead)

- but not after we had to encounter some sneaky Spanish tricks
- are we even surprised about the tricks??? The Danes have a million tricks... Maybe it's a European thing???
- as soon as we arrived in Barcelona, a bank machine ate Jill's card
- oh and apparently this happens everyday to a different person
- lol ya kk u crazy spaniards why does no one fix the machine than???
- after we check into the hostel (called Tailors Hostel, it's really cute and nice!!) we decided that we needed some tapas!!!! Caliente!!

Do you guys know what tapas are?
- Well they are amazing/perfect/Caliente/super Spanish
- they are these little plates of Spanish food (seafood, meats, etc) and you order a bunch and then share them
- these are the tapas we had the first night!!
- also had cavas which is inbetween if white wine and champagne
- delicious
- the next sneaky Spanish trick we encountered was are sassy waiter who told us we were too tiny too order more tapas
- LOL YA K
- we obviously ordered more
- plz note the cuttle fish in the first pic in the top right hand side. They were so cute and had faces and one little eye ball!! So adorable!!emi,y thought their tentacles tasted like bacon!
- went back for a lil nap because the hostel said there was a carnival party at 930
- wow sounds fun!!
- haha never woke up lol woops
- Cathryn had to force/bully/harass Emily to get out of bed at midnight
- ended up just going for a Spanish beer
- have we mentioned how cheap the drinks are? It's only 1€ for a glass of wine or a beer so obviously we were always ordering several drinks
- have we also mentioned that on Friday night when we had arrived we had been awake for like 30 hours so you can't really judge us for going to sleep
Saturday:
- wake up and ready for our free walking tour!
- we are obsessed with walking tours!! Especially the free ones!! Mucho caliente!!!
- coffee and donut On the way! Did you guy know that Spain is obssessed with donuts and pastries? Everywhere sells them and they are really cheap so we had no choice but to get like 6 everyday bc it was such a good deal #noregrets

The Spanish poopy man! Spanish people are obssessed with poo. Who knew????????? Are we even surprised though?
Lol no but this actually has to do with their Christmas where Santa and this wooden log shit out Christmas gifts. The tradition is that before Christmas kids sing a song about the wooden log pooing and hit it with bats to make it poo out their presents!
- also went shopping
- bought stylish things but now we are poor #help. #butaactually
- walked all around la rambla which is the main shopping, touristy street
Spanish McDonald's, they sell McBeer and potato wedges! Tbh we talk about McDs so much that at this point should they not be sponsoring the blog??????? (Does anyone know how we make this happen?). Sometimes we do say bad things about it but I think the struggle is what makes our posts relateable??????? Plz comment your thoughts!!

- also side note on the weather: um it was REALLY COLD!! This was a HUGE Spanish trick since the high was meant to be 20 degrees and honestly we really deserved some warm weather but w/e

Went back to the hostel and than got ready to go to a Spanish club! Caliente!
Things to know about Spanish clubs: (or really maybe just the one we went to??)
- you go out at 2am
- Spanish people are not very good dancers!! I would even go as far as too say they were the opposite of caliente
- the drinks were 10€ and by the time we got there you could say we were completely sober
- um excuse me, but we cannot afford 10€ drinks!!!!! SOS
- what's it like to be in a Spanish club so per at 4am? Um I think I would say probably, dumb
- we did get a lot of free glow sticks though which was a huge plus
- the highlight was probably when Cabaret dancers came out and did a lil number to beyonce #beyonceforever
- some body did tell cathryn to "keep shining" (I mea obviously) which was new and different
- finally left and we were ready to get some MEATS
- OMG the meats were so expensive, We cannot afford 8€ meats!!!! (By meats we mean sandwiches obviously)
- settled for donuts because Spain loves donuts and they are everywhere and cheap
- a spaniard stopped us in on are way home and asked us if we "want to see something?" NO! NO we do t want it see anything! Like holy shit it was probably his dick
- oh side note, Spanish men loved to harass us (because we are hot probably?????)
- lol no it's just a thing Spanish men like to do which is pretty different from Denmark so we were shocked
- ugh 5am and finally home
- honestly this no sleep thing is a hard life style guys!!!! Any support (like comments or something) would be really nice!!!
Sunday:
- woke up #flawless
- more donuts and coffee

THEN we went to see the gaudi cathedral! Do we look like locals or what though????
- the gaudi catherdral is insane though
- it has been built for the past 100 years and still isn't done
- the architecture is meant to mimic nature and the way plants and trees support themselves and stuff which is cool/awesome/we loved it

There were palm trees all over the place!! This was actually just another #spanishtrick though because it made us think it would be warm even though it was freezing!!! Ugh!!!

- we went Sunday to celebrate Jill's champagne birthday for Monday morning
- tapas at 1130 on a Sunday was so busy bc Spanish ppl can't stop and won't stop!!

- also got cava for when Jill turned 21
- also got kinDOF tipsy from all the alcohol
- also ate so much felt like we could barf (don't worry we didn't though!!)
Monday:
- sad, it's our last day

This was a really long post so I hope you guys all commentator least twice!! Can you guys tell the only words I know in Spanish are caliente and amigo???? On Wednesday we are holding our Jewish dinner which now is 10 people (lol) so we will let you know how that goes.
